Brandon Anderchuk
Executive Director
Brandon has served as the Executive Director of Hope’s Path since April 2022. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Erin, and father of four children (Leianna, Tyler Rose, Mac & Hazel). Their family’s story beautifully reflects God’s heart for adoption—two of their children were welcomed into their home through adoption, and one through the gift of embryo adoption. Brandon and Erin see each of their children as a testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace.
A combat veteran, Brandon served eight years in the United States Army, completing three tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. After his time in the military, he spent nearly a decade in leadership at the Oregon Youth Challenge Program (OYCP), one of the nation’s top alternative high school programs. During his tenure, he had the privilege of guiding and celebrating the graduation of eighteen classes, impacting the lives of more than 2,500 students.
Brandon holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership. He is also an active member of WoodsEdge Community Church in The Woodlands, where he serves in the men’s ministry and joins in international mission work in Honduras.
Brandon is deeply passionate about the mission of Hope’s Path and considers it a calling to walk alongside young men, helping them discover healing, purpose, and lasting hope in Jesus Christ. brandon@hopespath.org
Ted MacVaugh
Program Director
Ted has 30 years of experience in residential childcare, beginning his career working in a psychiatric hospital in Amarillo, TX. He wanted to return to a place that provided him with so much as a youth. Ted spent 16 years working at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch near Amarillo, Texas. As a youth, Ted lived on the streets of Houston from the age of 10 to 12 years old. “At Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, I found healing and a sense of belonging through loving relationships. After graduating from Boys Ranch, I participated in an independent living program like Hope’s Path”.
Ted holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from West Texas A&M University. “I have spent my entire career working with children and families, and it is an honor to be a part of this amazing ministry at Hope's Path. Sarah Molai
Office Administrator
Sarah found a passion for working with nonprofit organizations when she volunteered at Freedom House in Weatherford, TX where she served as a secretary for a year and a half; along with volunteering at Highway 80 Rescue Mission in Longview, TX where she served food to the local homeless community for 3 years. Sarah has supported Hope's Path as an Office Administrator since January 2025. She has 17 years of experience as a Secretary/Office Administrator, in five of those years she provided support to Klein ISD SPED Department. When Sarah is not behind the desk showing off her awesome multitasking/organizational skills you will find her fishing, hiking, or roller skating in her rainbow custom skates with her two amazing children. sarah@hopespath.org
Adam Guy
Residential Manager
I’ve spent the last two years working closely with foster youth through a church ministry and summer camp. I served in the United States Air Force in leadership and teaching roles—experiences that shaped my heart for service and mentorship. My life is rooted in faith: I lead a Christian community group, podcast for a recovery ministry, and am a leader for a spiritual growth ministry focused on helping people move forward from their past and present issues with purpose and hope. Marie Wise
Volunteer Coordinator
Marie is a dynamic and results-driven Global Partnerships Manager with a 20+ year track record of driving exponential revenue growth. Her expertise lies in crafting and executing innovative sales strategies that overcome complex challenges and deliver substantial profits in highly competitive markets. A natural facilitator who brings people together, Marie deeply understands the value of partnerships and collaboration. With extensive industry knowledge spanning semiconductors, near-field wireless power, electronics, and energy, she has a proven ability to build and nurture strong client relationships, secure new contracts, and unlock added value.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marie is passionate about giving back to her community. She is a dedicated volunteer in dog rescue, with a strong focus on ensuring rescued dogs are spayed and neutered. Since moving to Texas, Marie has been directly involved in the rescue of more than 100 Labrador Retrievers, helping them find safe, permanent homes. She is also actively engaged in disability advocacy, further reflecting her commitment to service and social impact.

Brian Dunn
Board Chairman
Brian currently serves as the Community Pastor at StoneBridge Church in The Woodlands where he has served since 1998 in various roles. Brian graduated from Georgia Tech in Industrial Engineering and later received his Masters of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Brian leads the weekly Lower School and Middle School Chapel services for Woodlands Christian and also teaches Bible classes at Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy. Brian is passionate about serving the community and seeing communities transformed with the love of Christ. Brian and his wife are also proud adoptive parents and advocates in the community for serving children and orphans.
Monica Brashear, J.D.
Board Secretary
A twenty-year resident of The Woodlands, Monica Brashear has spent the past decade practicing residential real estate for Sotheby's International Realty. Brashear is a five-star agent and the top producer for Sotheby's in The Woodlands. She has been recognized in The Wall Street Journal, Texas Monthly and Modern Luxury. Brashear also owns and manages a portfolio of investment properties for The Brashear Group LLC. Prior to her career in real estate, Brashear practiced law for fifteen years, first as a felony prosecutor and later as in-house legal counsel for a privately-held corporation. Brashear graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Kentucky and an MBA degree from Rice University's Jones School of Business. Brashear maintains a Texas real estate license as well as law licenses with the Maryland and Kentucky Bar Associations. Brashear relishes the time she is able to spend with her husband and two sons. Her hobbies include making anything better!
Liz Logan
Board Treasurer
Liz Logan is currently a partner in the risk management and internal audit practice of EY, LLP where she has worked the last 20 years. She focuses primarily on the Real Estate and Oil and Gas sectors but also has experience in the Technology space. She is a proud Texas A&M graduate where she received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting and Finance. While not a native Houstonian, after 20 years it is now home—as is the Houston Heights.
Having grown up the daughter of a pastor, service and helping others is a core tenant in her life. Outside work and watching Aggie football, Liz sits on the Executive Board of Camp For All, the Advisory Board of the Texas A&M University Internal Audit Program as well as the Board of Governors for the Houston chapter of the Institute of Internal Audit. Liz’s personal purpose is to be an authentic leader who invests in others; she wants to not just make noise, but to make a difference.
John Buck, M.D.
Dr. Buck is a founding partner, member of the board of directors, and President of Emerus Holdings Inc. With more than 18 years of healthcare experience as a physician and organizational leader, Buck oversees strategy, regulatory guidance, leadership development, and partner relations. Previously, Dr. Buck held the position of CEO of Cypress Creek Emergency Center and staff physician with Methodist Health System, Willowbrook. Buck served as an emergency room physician with the U.S. Air Force at Keesler Air Force base in Mississippi and holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas, Dallas, a Medical Degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, and served his residency in emergency medicine at Scott & White, Temple, TX.
Billy Johnson
Billy Johnson retired from Deloitte Services LLP as a Talent Director. Since then, Billy spent six years as the executive director of the Professional Leadership Program at the University of North Texas—where he also served as a mentor and board member. He has been a member of the Corporate Advisory Board of the Academy of Finance at Conrad High Schools in the Dallas Independent School District, board president of the Dallas Academy Foundation (DAF), board liaison for Deloitte to the National Action Council of Minorities in Engineering (NACME), and a board member of Girls Inc. of Dallas.
Billy began his business career with nearly ten years at AT&T, followed by twelve years with Atlantic Refining Company (ARCO), then served as the Vice President of Human Resources—Americas Group for Mirant Energy Trading & Marketing, a subsidiary of Southern Company.
Roman Walley
Roman joined the Hope's Path Board in December 2019. Before that, he volunteered at Hope's Path for almost 2 years, conducting Life Skills classes every Thursday for the interns.
Roman graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980. He spent 10 years in Medical Sales for various large firms before going back to college for an advanced degree in Instructional Design from the University of Texas, Houston Health Science Center in 1991. From there he joined Texaco (which later merged with Shell's Downstream Assets) where he served in Learning and Organizational Consulting roles for almost 30 years in Shell. After retiring in August, Roman served as the Executive Director at Hope’s Path for a needed period. He is now back enjoying retirement and serving on the board.
Roman and Cathryn have 4 children whom they are very proud of and 5 grandchildren of whom they are even prouder!
Craig Charbonnet
Shortly after graduating from Louisiana State University in December of 1979, Craig Charbonnet commenced his career in the oil and gas industry in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1981, Craig and his new bride Sheila, moved from Louisiana to Houston for Craig to continue his career in oil and gas, working in the corporate world for the next thirteen years. Then in 1994, Craig founded Charbonnet Land, a consulting and service company for the oil and gas exploration sector, and has presided over the operations of the company as owner and president since its inception.
Craig and Sheila have four sons, all of whom currently reside in Midland, Texas, and are busy working together in the oil and gas business. They have three wonderful daughters-in-law and nine beautiful grandchildren.
Craig and Sheila moved to The Woodlands in 1984. They have attended Woodsedge Community Church in Spring since 2005.
Mai Phan
Mai is a senior designer at Webb Architects, with over 12 years of experience specializing in commercial, industrial architecture, and urban development. She is also a USA Boxing official and coach, a national competitive shooter, and international triathlete. For the past two decades, Mai has been committed to sharing her knowledge and expertise as a fitness industry leader through multi-media channels. She has directed non-profit organizations promoting youth wellness in underserved areas, and partnered with multiple non-profits. Mai has built fitness facilities for Houston’s non-tuition schools, facilitated equipment for youth gyms overseas, and sponsored underprivileged boxers who elevated to new heights.
She received a Masters Degree in Architecture and Bachelors in Business from the University of Houston. As a native Texan, Mai has lived in the area most of her life and raised her four children. She embraces traveling around the world to broaden her horizon and redefine her physical and mental limits.
